Interns - general information
We welcome help from volunteers, so if you would like to gain experience of policy research and analysis as well as supporting our work for better food and farming, please get in touch.
We started taking interns in December 2004. Since then, twenty one have worked with us, part-time or full-time, for periods up to six months. We would be glad to put prospective interns in touch with people who have volunteered with us in the past.
We seek to involve interns in a range of different activities that complement their own aims and career development plans. However, we are a small organisation, so it is essential that interns are self-starters who already have good time-management and communication skills. Our limited resources also mean that we can only manage a small number of interns at any time and that we aim to select candidates on the basis of their capacity to contribute to our work.
Whenever we are recruiting interns we post a job advertisement and person specification on the jobs page. This will include details of how to apply. If no vacancies are advertised, but you would like us to notify when internships become available, please send us an email or phone Ann on 01273 766 654.
