TRIPS With Everything? Intellectual property and the farming world

photo of legal papers by Hugo de C
Food Ethics Council
Published: 1 November 2002

This report from the Food Ethics Council examines how new global rules on patents, plant variety protection and other forms of 'intellectual property' affect food and farming, particularly for people in poor countries.

It asks whether these rules are useful, fair and in the public interest, and argues that more widespread understanding of the nature and effects of these rules on our food future is needed.
