Past work

We prioritise our work to focus on areas that we think are especially important and where we believe our involvement can make a big difference. This means we have to put some of our past programmes onto the back burner. Nevertheless, we retain a strong interest in all the issues we have addressed in previous work and we welcome suggestions on further contributions that we could usefully make under any of the headings listed below.

Food governance

Understanding how power is shifting within the food system and improving public accountability.

Farming animals for food

How can we respect our duties of care and compassion to farm animals?

After FMD

Placing ethics and public values at the core of rural policy reform.

Genetically modified foods

Analysing the ethical implications of 'novel foods'.

Children's diets

Putting ethics at the centre of policies and public discourse on children's diets.
