Support the Food Ethics Council

We believe in putting ethics at the heart of decisions affecting what people eat. Since 1998 our reports, briefings and events have challenged government, business and the public to tackle difficult questions at the forefront of developments in food and farming, including:

  • Should government shoulder the health costs of obesity?
  • How do patents affect what we eat?
  • Will genetically modified foods help the world’s poor?
  • Is it right to use drugs to boost meat production?

We rely on public support to continue this work. You can support us in the following ways:

Subscribe to our magazine

Food Ethics, our magazine, aims to challenge accepted opinion and spark fruitful debate about key issues and developments in food and farming. Distributed quarterly to subscribers, each issue features independent news, comment and analysis. Subscribers also receive copies of all our printed publications, plus a discount of tickets to our events.

Support our work without drowning in paper

Our Friends programme is a paperless subscription. We know many people want to pledge their support but don't have time to read our magazine or reports.

Make a donation

We welcome donations from individuals. Because we guard the independence of the Food Ethics Council very carefully, we only accept support from other organisations when it carries no risk of compromising our independence or of being seen to do so.
