FREELANCE PROJECT MANAGER FOR FOOD ISSUES CENSUS 3
Click here for full briefing and job description
At Food Ethics Council, we are looking for a freelance project lead to deliver our third Food Issues Census, starting asap. The Census is a way of gauging civil society capacity on food issues, building on previous versions that have proved valuable resources for civil society organisations and funders. You will have a strong track record in design and delivery of robust and authentic data gathering exercises, listening to and engaging with diverse organisations and have a genuine interest in food and social justice and ensuring that lesser heard voices are represented within this research.
We are aware that Black and people of colour are underrepresented in food and farming and that NGOs have a key role to play in tackling this. We particularly want to encourage applications from BPOC freelancers, working collaboratively to ensure their needs and experiences are valued and acknowledged.

- Organising and co-facilitating workshops
- Data analysis – anonymising, analysing and interpreting data & insights from the Census
- Leading on writing and presenting data & insights in an engaging way for key audiences
- Working with the Communications lead (and potentially external partners) on dissemination and wider engagement
- Actively participating in Steering Group and team meetings
- Carefully and accurately managing time and budget for the duration of the project
- Other tasks relating to the project as required
Requirements
- Demonstrable project management skills, including setting milestones and progress tracking
