Created to be inclusive and safe spaces, we encourage our audiences to participate, share and interact through discussion workshops and original talks.

Food Citizenship events

Food Citizenship is a movement of individuals and organisations across the food system, rooted in an increasingly widely shared belief that people can and want to shape the food system for the better. By shifting the way we think of ourselves towards a citizen mindset, where we are active participants in society, we unlock our ability to influence and steer the food system towards one that is fair and resilient for all.

Food Policy on Trial

Our Food Policy on Trial events explore emerging food policy ideas at inquiry-style sessions. Expert witnesses provide evidence and are questioned by a Food Ethics Council jury panel, and audience members. They make their own judgements of whether the idea is likely to contribute to or hinder progress towards healthy, fair, environmentally sustainable, humane food and farming.

Food Talks

Food Talks is a regular series of events designed to stimulate debate and empower people to take action on critical and contentious food issues. Featuring guest speakers and an opportunity for discussion, past topics have included creating better urban food systems, how to deliver a growing food revolution, how to get people hooked on sustainable fish and what are the implications of COVID-19 for our food systems.
