Build back better with the SDGs

The Food Ethics Council is one of over 150 signatories to this joint letter to the Prime Minister urging him to build a better future through the COVID-19 recovery programme. The letter has been co-ordinated by the UK Stakeholders for Sustainable Development and the UN Global Compact Network UK.

Our Executive Director, Dan Crossley, commenting on the joint letter, said:

“We’re passionate about building back better in our collective response to COVID-19. The good news is that we don’t need to invent a new framework to guide us. That already exists in the form of the Sustainable Development Goals. We’re a strong believer in the importance of the SDGs as a universal framework to guide action – in our food systems and beyond. That’s why we’ve signed this joint letter to Boris Johnson urging him to build a better future.”
