This Business Forum meeting was held in June 2023, and sought to share insights from the first phase of the Dairy Project with those responsible for buying, processing and selling dairy. The aim was to understand the role that buyers, processors and retailers can play in supporting a shift toward fairer, more ethical dairy systems – for example through milk contracts, pricing strategies, better communication and supporting farmer-to-farmer learning.
Speakers were Shelagh Hancock (CEO, First Milk), Joseph Keating (Senior agricultural manager, Coop), and Abi Williams (Dairy Project Lead, Food Ethics Council).
