Food Policy on Trial: In the dock – plain packaging on junk food & drink
Our second Food Policy on Trial event put plain packaging on ‘worst impact’ food and drink ‘in the dock’. Four expert witnesses provided evidence for and against using plain packaging (as used in tobacco) as a possible policy idea designed to help for example drive down the incidence of preventable disease.
Our expert witnesses were questioned by a Food Ethics Council jury panel and members of the audience. The findings of the jury are summarised in the following press release (available to download below).
