We joined other environmental charities to share data on the racial diversity of our organisations.

Organisations taking part in The RACE Report are asked to detail the action taken internally to support equality, diversity and inclusion. The list of actions covers a breadth of areas and incorporates commonly recommended actions to support progression of equality, diversity and inclusion, but is not intended to be an exhaustive list.

The environment sector continues to have one of the least diverse workforces – across 140 organisations, only 6% of employees are BPOC. There is so much work to be done.

Change must be systemic, but transparency and benchmarking are vital first steps in collectively building a diverse and inclusive sector that centres lived experiences.
