DR JASON ARCHIE ACHEAMPONG
Dr Jason Archie–Acheampong is currently International Commercial Programmes Manager at Producers Direct. His work and fascinations lie at the intersection of sustainable development and global foods systems. He has previously held commercial roles across the FMCG and fresh produce sectors, working with farmers and food manufacturers to produce and market both agricultural produce and value added food products into European retail markets e.g Blue Skies Holdings and Rush Group. He has direct experience working with commodity growers – most notably across West Africa – to build capacity, improve product quality standards and facilitating access to export markets
He also has a track record using entrepreneurship and creativity to facilitate social change, having also worked at a number of national cultural arts institutions e.g Southbank Arts Centre, English Pen, Contact MCR and Youth Media Agency.
Jason achieved his doctorate at Alliance Manchester Business School and is currently a member of the Asia-Africa Centre for Sustainability at Aberdeen Business School.
